Graer’s first play and Emmas first swimming lesson

As you can tell, I am a little behind on posting updates.  A few things have happened since my last post..

Graer was in his first play this past month!  He was a mouse in the Aristocats, and a pretty cute one at that.  The play was held at the JCA where Graer attends preschool.  He told Greg and I that he had a lot of fun and would like to do another play sometime soon.  Below, I have posted a link to a video of the play.  It is easier to spot Graer if you watch the video in full screen mode.

Emma is our little daredevil.  I took her and Graer to the pool the other day for the first time this summer.  She hasn’t been to a pool since August so I’m not sure she really remembered it but, she threw herself right in! Obviously, she sank and had no idea what to do so, Greg and I decided it would be a good idea to start swimming lessons. Today was the first day, and Emma had a great time.  I will post videos and more pictures as her lessons continue.

And, I’ll finish this post with a cute picture of Graer and Emma at a splash pad birthday party earlier this week

Graer goes to Disney!!

Last month, Graer took his first trip to Disney!! He had a lot of fun and has asked several times since when we will be going back.  We went for 5 hours and to be honest, it went much better than I was expecting.  He did really well and wasn’t nearly as tired as the adults were by the end of the day.  His favorite ride was Peter Pan, but he says he also really enjoyed driving a race car with Daddy.  I would be remiss if I didn’t thank Moma, Pa, Aunt Lyssa and Uncle Anthony for joining us and making his first trip extra special.  As always, you can find pictures below..

Somehow we crammed 4 adults and 1 child into a very small tea cup…not very comfortable, but it was fun!

Graers 4th birthday (better late than never!)

While I’m at it, I wanted to post a little bit about Graers 4th birthday.  His birthday is in August, but I haven’t had much time to post on here so I’m just now getting around to it!  We did a dinosaur theme, which is Graers newest obsession (triceratops is his favorite, and yes, he is going to be a dinosaur for Halloween).  We had a pool party and then invited the kids back to our house for burgers, cake and presents.  I think they had a lot of fun!

My first post

I have gone back and forth about creating a blog for a while now.  I decided to go through with it in hopes to update those that we love, but don’t get to see often.

Earlier this month we took a trip down to Stuart, FL with Barbara, Phil and Marissa.  We hadn’t seen Marissa since our wedding this past March.  Needless to say, we were very happy to see her, as were the kids.  Emma and Graer had a great time at the beach and the pool.  Graer got a fishing pole for his birthday this year (he is 4 now and starting Pre-K- can’t believe it) but, we were having too much fun swimming to use it.  Hopefully we will get a chance to practice with it soon and Graer will be catching fresh fish for dinner in no time (we can hope, right?). Emma had her first trip on the PDQ!  I am sure she would have enjoyed it much more if she didn’t have to wear a life jacket. But, as the saying goes, safety first..Eventually she will get over it, we hope.

I head back to nursing school on Monday, so we will see how well I can keep up with the blog.
