As you can tell, I am a little behind on posting updates. A few things have happened since my last post..
Graer was in his first play this past month! He was a mouse in the Aristocats, and a pretty cute one at that. The play was held at the JCA where Graer attends preschool. He told Greg and I that he had a lot of fun and would like to do another play sometime soon. Below, I have posted a link to a video of the play. It is easier to spot Graer if you watch the video in full screen mode.

Emma is our little daredevil. I took her and Graer to the pool the other day for the first time this summer. She hasn’t been to a pool since August so I’m not sure she really remembered it but, she threw herself right in! Obviously, she sank and had no idea what to do so, Greg and I decided it would be a good idea to start swimming lessons. Today was the first day, and Emma had a great time. I will post videos and more pictures as her lessons continue.
And, I’ll finish this post with a cute picture of Graer and Emma at a splash pad birthday party earlier this week
Last month, Graer took his first trip to Disney!! He had a lot of fun and has asked several times since when we will be going back. We went for 5 hours and to be honest, it went much better than I was expecting. He did really well and wasn’t nearly as tired as the adults were by the end of the day. His favorite ride was Peter Pan, but he says he also really enjoyed driving a race car with Daddy. I would be remiss if I didn’t thank Moma, Pa, Aunt Lyssa and Uncle Anthony for joining us and making his first trip extra special. As always, you can find pictures below..

Graer insisted on smiling like this..cracks me up every time I look at it
Moma and Graer enjoyed a nice carousel ride
Somehow we crammed 4 adults and 1 child into a very small tea cup…not very comfortable, but it was fun!

Emma turned 1 year old earlier this month (November 3rd). Graer was here to help her celebrate and her Grandparents from the keys made the long haul up here to join the party. Moma (Barbara) and Pa (Phil) were out of town, but were there in spirit. We had a small get together with The Bhullar Family and Jen’s sister and nephew (Kendra and Nick). Nick and Graer played well together and got to blow out some candles as well. As always, Alyssa was there with camera in hand and captured some really good shots of the party, and some QT spent with Grammy (Marge) and Grandpop (Doug).
Emma Mae wasn’t really sure what all the fuss was about in the beginning of the day
She picked up the entire cake and shoveled as much in as her little mouth could hold..I think she has a sweet tooth 🙂
Tasting the presents
Bath time with Graer..it took a lot of scrubbing to get all that cake off!
We spent part of the next afternoon down by the lake..it was nice and breezy. Maybe a little too breezy- we saw two boats capsize on the lake!
Always chatting up a storm
Handsome little man hanging on the dock
Emma and Aunt Lyssa..Thank you so much for all the beautiful photos..We love you!!!
Thank you to everyone who sent gifts, emailed and called to wish Emma a happy birthday..Thank you cards are in the mail, with more pictures, of course 🙂
While I’m at it, I wanted to post a little bit about Graers 4th birthday. His birthday is in August, but I haven’t had much time to post on here so I’m just now getting around to it! We did a dinosaur theme, which is Graers newest obsession (triceratops is his favorite, and yes, he is going to be a dinosaur for Halloween). We had a pool party and then invited the kids back to our house for burgers, cake and presents. I think they had a lot of fun!
Happy to be 4..or happy to have a birthday cake 🙂

A few weeks ago my sister, Alyssa, came down and took some pictures to celebrate Emma turning one. There were a few hiccups (sleeping in past the opportune time for morning light, being one of them) but I think they turned out amazing regardless. I will post a few of my favorites here, and add the link at the bottom of the page. I love every single picture (maybe I’m a bit biased) and I hope you love them as well!

On August 30th Emma took her first step! But, it wasn’t until just the other day that Greg and I were able to get a video of it. She will take a few steps at a time, six or seven at most, and then sit down and crawl; for now its much faster for her and the girl has places to go! You can find the link to the video of Emma walking below. Please excuse the baby talk and Emma’s short lived temper tantrum.
Also, as I am sitting here typing this, I noticed one of Emma’s top teeth came through. She now has 3 teeth! Time is flying…
Tomorrow will be Graer’s first day of Junior Kindergarten (a different name for preschool). To remember the occasion, I decided to make a little board with different details about Graer. I’m hopeful we can do this for each of the kids on the first day of school each year (or for Graer, the day before, since he goes to school in Jacksonville). It will be fun to see how much they change each year! Graer told Greg and I that he loves school and is excited about his first day back…I wonder if he will have the same attitude by the time he reaches high school.. 🙂
Excited for school tomorrow!
Checking out his board..he was more interested if he could draw on it next
All things Graer
Such a big boy!
